Team

The local TMR team includes I. Capuzzo Dolcetta, M. Falcone, A. Siconolfi, S. Finzi Vita, I. Birindelli, P. Loreti, R. Ferretti, G. Mascari and some graduate and PhD students.
The main research topics of the team are: theoretical and numerical aspects of the theory of viscosity solutions, deterministic and stochastic optimal control theory, numerical methods for PDEs, phase transition, differential games, image processing.
The Dipartimento di Matematica has about 130 members including experts in many fields connected to the TMR netkwork activity, e.g. partial differential equations and applications, calculus of variations, stochastic systems, mathematical physics and mathematical finance. The Dipartimento di Matematica offers good working conditions, access to the network and to several computing facilities (SUN Workstations, Silicon Graphics Indigo 2 plus the parallel machines located at the CASPUR Consortium).
