Research interests

Calculus of variations, geometric measure theory, applied mathematics, material science, fracture mechanics, dislocations in crystals, variational models in image processes and phase transitions.

My research is focused on variational models in elasticity, in particular in fracture mechanics and discrete dislocations models in plasticity.
