Koen THAS A Lecture on Some Recent Developments and Open Problems in
the Automorphism Theory of Generalized Quadrangles
(Giugno 2005)
Abstract.
In this paper, we survey recent developments in the automorphism theory
for finite generalized quadrangles. More explicitly, we survey results
which characterize or classify classes of generalized quadrangles by some
kind of action of an automorphism group of the quadrangle. For each of
these results, the concept of regularity will play a crucial role. We also
include some new unpublished work.
