• SOCIAL PROGRAMME
  Guided tours will be organized in the evenings during the conference. Here you can find the detailed programme (in English) of the tours (and here is the Italian version).
  The guided tour programme of Monday 7th June will be courtesy of the Conference. For technical reasons, we kindly request a reservation (to be addressed to bellitalia88@bellitalia88.it before 28 May) for the 9.00 p.m. guided tour by bus. Should the number of reservations be greater than the number of available places, these will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
  Each of the other tours (6, 8, 9 and 10 June) requires a fee to be paid by each participant and will take place only if the number of reservations reaches the indicated minimum.
  For reservations for these tours and for more information about them, you can write to "Bell'Italia 88".
• HOW TO REACH...
  From the Fiumicino Airport there are frequent and quite inexpensive trains to either Roma Termini or Roma Tiburtina station. From either you may take taxis, the underground and several buses.
  You may look your way in the Rome public transport system website, or ask at an information booth.
  In any case, please beware of unmarked taxis: they are unlicensed (and unlawfully expensive as well). The only true taxis are the white ones with a "TAXI" sign.
  As for buses, trams and underground, you have to buy the 1 euro ticket (good on all of these) before boarding, and cancel it on the bus as soon as you board, or in the underground station, just once at the beginning of the 75 minute duration.
  Actually, a public transport ticket (BIT) in Rome works like this. You have to cancel it: at the beginning of the first travel; when taking the underground (even if it is already stamped); and when the 75 minutes are about to expire, to be allowed to complete the journey already begun. Moreover, you can travel by underground only once with one ticket (but of course you can change lines). There are also daily and weekly tickets.

  From Termini station to Accademia dei Lincei: catch bus 40 (an "express" line), alight at piazza della Chiesa Nuova (along corso Vittorio Emanuele), cross corso Vittorio Emanuele and walk perpendicular to it, through the narrow streets, down to the river Tiber, where you will find ponte (bridge) Mazzini; cross it, go down a slope, turn left and you are there. It is a 600 meters walk. Here is a map for the route from the bus stop to the Accademia.
  

  From Termini station to the Department of Mathematics: if you can find your way and like walking, it is a 20 minute walk. Otherwise, catch the bus 310, alight at fourth stop and follow the stream of people (or ask for University's main entrance, in piazzale Aldo Moro).

  If you are staying at Globus Hotel, in viale Ippocrate, you may get to the hotel by taking a taxi from Termini or Tiburtina station. Alternatively, you may catch bus 310 from the square in front of Termini station; or, from Tiburtina station, catch 490, 491 or 495 until the fourth stop (piazzale delle Province) and then a short stroll, or 310 (towards Termini) until the next stop.
  On Monday, to go from Globus Hotel to the Accademia dei Lincei, via della Lungara, 10, you may want to take a taxi. When reserving it, please allow at the very least a 45 minutes travel time, due to morning traffic.
  If you prefer public transport, allow an even greater travel time. Catch bus 310 in front of the hotel, towards Termini.   On Tuesday and Wednesday, the conference will be held in the Department of Mathematics, very close to the hotel: leaving the hotel, turn left, walk 100 meters to viale Regina Elena (where the tram runs), turn left and walk along the rail until you reach the entrance of the University (on the opposite side of the street).

• Other than the talks by the invited speakers, there will be no contributed talks.
• ACCOMMODATION
  There is an agreement with the Tulip Inn Roma Globus hotel. Guests mentioning the Conference will get reduced prices: according to the room type, from 71 Euros instead of 125 ("Dynamic" room), to 205 Euros instead of 229 ("Sweety" room).
