Info

We promote a cycle of seminars held by the PhD students and Postdocs for themselves. The talks, which are 45-60 minutes long and held in English language, can be about the research of the speaker, in order to present their work, the topic of study and the progress achieved, or they can be organized as lectures about arguments of interest. Anyway, we allow freedom to the speakers for the organization of their seminar, which can possibly be splitted in more parts. The golden rule is that the talks should not be too specific or sectoral, but they should be comprehensible and interesting even for people studying research topic far away from the ones presented. Indeed, these appointments are conceived as meetings between colleagues from other Departments of Mathematics in Rome, but also between PhD students and Postdocs from different disciplinary sectors. We organize one meeting every two weeks on Tuesday morning, with two talks for each meeting. The speakers can be PhD students or Postdocs, and they represent also the main audience, at which eventually professors or master’s students can join.
